These scallop shells have been hand picked after storms from our local Devon and Cornwall beaches. I then thoroughly clean them before painting them with my designs. This is why each one has a unique and organic shape, with areas missing and having been smoothed by the ocean. I try to highlight these areas of imperfection as I find them so beautiful. Each shell is given a unique, free flow intuitive design hand painted using a combination of acrylic paints and waterproof pens and then sealed with a double layer of varnish to help protect the design. The back side of all the shell dishes are left natural. Each shell will come with a little care guide.
This beautiful medium scallop shell measures approximately 10.5 x 9.8 cm Large enough to host a variety of jewellery from bangles, bracelets, rings and earrings. It is currently our largest dish.
