These scallop shells have been hand picked after storms from our local Devon and Cornwall beaches. I then thoroughly clean them before painting them with my designs. This is why each one has a unique and organic shape, with areas missing and having been smoothed by the ocean. I try to highlight these areas of imperfection as I find them so beautiful. Each shell is given a unique, free flow intuitive design hand painted using a combination of acrylic paints and waterproof pens and then sealed with a double layer of varnish to help protect the design. The back side of all the shell dishes are left natural. Each shell will come with a little care guide.
This beautiful extra large scallop shell measures approximately 13 x 11 cm Large enough to host a variety of jewellery from bangles, bracelets, rings and earrings. It is currently our largest dish.
This dish has been discounted due to some slight imperfections that happened upon varnishing. The paints had run a little along the edge of the shell, i’ve included this in the photos. Please be aware of this before purchasing.
